Long time! There have been some changes around the ol’ Everybody’s Invited campfire, and we’ve been a bit neglectful of this blog.
In November, Tara and her husband and son welcomed a beautiful baby girl, Zadie Rose, to Team Dawkins. Word on the street is Zadie is quite snuggly, and Tara is enraptured.
Chris is also taking a bit of a hiatus in order to work on his own projects, so that leaves me to hold down the fort.
While I’m certainly missing my party pals, I haven’t been slacking off entirely. Here’s a bit of what’s happened since we released S’more to Love back in October:
- I’ve been working with the awesomely talented Julia Smith to develop a system for painless DIY wedding planning. Scrum Your Wedding will launch in early 2015 and will help creative couples stick to their budget and their timeline, while also enhancing relationships with friends and family during the wedding planning process. Julia and I have been working on this for awhile, and we can’t wait to unleash this sanity-saving methodology upon the world.
- I’m also gearing up to release The Everybody’s Invited Guide to the Good Life, a practical resource packed full of strategies for maximizing happiness and meaning in one’s life. The Guide introduces 20 skills essential to living the Good Life—everything from practicing optimism to cultivating friendships—and provides easy ways to hone those skills. I’m excited to share this collection in the first part of the year.
- I’ve been plotting. Lists have been made. Calendars filled. Systems re-configured. I’m really looking forward to developing new products and events to help you inject more play, surprise, and adventure into your life in 2015.
- Finally, I’ve been enjoying my first year of being married, spending the holidays with family, and doing a bit of work-related travel. It’s been an eventful year.
I know I’ve been quiet on this site for much of the year, but things will pick up again in 2015. While I’m eagerly anticipating the return of Chris and Tara, in the meantime, I’m still here. Be in touch.
p.s. Are we Facebook friends yet?
