How will you ring in the New Year? We’re starting 2014 off right: with friends and food!

Describer the Vibe:

The New Year’s Day Brunch we’re dreaming of is subtly sparkly, with mostly white and silver, and some gold. It’s intimate and welcoming, with our closest friends conversing around a beautifully decorated dining table.

Decor:

This white and silver table setting is perfect: simple, modern, and crisp.

Should auld acquaintance be forgot, and never brought to mind? We don’t know. But we like this sparkly silver banner.

Time keeps on tickin’ into the future. Clocks (like the little silver one above and the gold one below) and simple white candles look gorgeous on a food buffet, coffee bar, mimosa bar, or on the dining table.

What’s brunch without mimosas? We love the idea of a mimosa bar with different types of juices to choose from – orange, mango, and grapefruit (our favorite).

Sparkly stir sticks are a must.

Menu:

Guests likely stayed up late the night before. Let’s make sure they’re good and caffeinated with this cute cup of joe.

These glittery goodies are almost too pretty to eat, but that’s not stopping us.

We’re pretty sure grilled cheese is the ultimate hangover food. Soak up the champagne from the night before with this Brie and Blueberry Waffle Grilled Cheese. Serve with seasonal spiced fruit and mini breakfast casseroles.

Attire:

Just say “yes” to casual sequins.

Theme Party Inspiration: A Sparkly New Year

To me, New Year’s Eve is that magical night when I get to wear sequins without feeling like a a pre-teen tap dancer. It’s also a night of reflection and goal setting, and, of course, pretty sparkly parties!

Every NYE party needs glitter confetti.

Be blunt: get the party started with bold signage.

Set the table with gold, sequins, geometric prints, and pretty flowers.

Add some shimmer and shine to your champagne bottles.

And serve it in these glitter-rimmed glasses.

Don’t forget to dress the part.

And capture your midnight kiss in front of this DIY sequin photobooth!
